Village District Annual Meeting

Village District Annual Meeting on Thursday,  July 16, 2020

The Village of Northwood Ridge Water District will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, July 16th at 7:00 pm in the rear parking lot of the Northwood School.  The meeting will be held out doors on the basketball field. A public address system will be provided. Attendees are asked to wear masks and respect social distancing.  Where possible, voting will be by a show of hands. Paper ballots will be available as needed.  In addition to a face covering, you will need a picture ID to be recognized as a registered voter of the District.  Members of the Supervisors of the Checklist will be on hand to register any new voters.

We are need to elect a new Commissioner and Treasurer. If you have a interest in serving either portion, please attend the meeting to place your name on the ballot.

The items on this year's Warrant are:

To the inhabitants of The Village of Northwood Ridge Water District in the County of Rockingham in state, qualified to vote in District Affairs

You are hereby notified to meet at the Northwood Elementary School, 511 1st NH Turnpike, on Northwood Ridge, on the 16 th day of July 2020 at seven o’clock p.m. to act upon the following subjects:

Article #1.   Election of Officers

To elect the following officers of the District:
         Commissioner for three years.
         Treasurer for two years.
         Auditor for two years.

Article #2.   Operating Budget

To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $21,351 for general District expenses. Recommended by the commissioners (3/0). Recommended by budget committee (16/0).

Article #3.   Appropriate to ETF for Major Repairs

To see if the District will raise and appropriate the sum of $1,000 to be added to the previously established Water District Expendable Trust for Major Repairs with said amount to come from water rents. Recommended by the commissioners (3/0). Recommended by budget committee (16/0).

Article #4.   Develop Asset Management Plan

To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $40,000 for development and application of an Asset Management Plan for the Village of Northwood Ridge Water District's infrastructure. $20,000 is to come from an anticipated Asset Management Grant from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Service and the withdrawal of $20,000 from the Water District Expendable Trust for Major Repairs created for that purpose.   Recommended by the commissioners (3/0). Recommended by budget committee (16/0). (Majority vote required).

To transact any other business that legally may come before said meeting.
