The Village of Northwood Ridge Water District will be holding its annual meeting at 7 pm on Wednesday, March 29 th at the Northwood School . A district’s annual meeting is the same as a town meeting before SB-2. Residents of the District come to the meeting to vote on the articles as they appear on the posted Warrant. Although the meeting is open to the public, only registered voters are allowed to vote. If you live in the Village District and are a registered voter in Northwood, you may vote at the meeting. A copy of the Warrant and the Northwood Budget Committee approved budget has been posted at the Northwood Town Hall, the Northwood School and the Northwood Post Office. Key items on the Warrant: Article 1: Election of Officers … Eric Wolfe’s term is about to expire, so there will be a vote for a Commissioner for three years. The position of Auditor is on the ballot for two years. Our Treasurer’s position, although a multiple year position, has been voted annuall

ABOUT THE VILLAGE OF NORTHWOOD RIDGE WATER DISTRICT

The Village of Northwood Ridge Water District (VNWRWD) provides safe, reliable drinking water to the the Village of Northwood Ridge, an area located within the Town of Northwood, New Hampshire. In the 1980's, it was found that privately-owned wells in Northwood Ridge were contaminated with petrochemical pollution - making the drinking water unsafe. A water supply and distribution project was funded by the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) to address the emergency. The project was completed in 1989 and serves approximately 55 customers, including the Northwood School. A map of VNWRWD boundary and the contaminated areas is provided below.

Village District Annual Meeting

Village District Annual Meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2020 The Village of Northwood Ridge Water District will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, July 16th at 7:00 pm in the rear parking lot of the Northwood School. The meeting will be held out doors on the basketball field. A public address system will be provided. Attendees are asked to wear masks and respect social distancing. Where possible, voting will be by a show of hands. Paper ballots will be available as needed. In addition to a face covering, you will need a picture ID to be recognized as a registered voter of the District. Members of the Supervisors of the Checklist will be on hand to register any new voters. We are need to elect a new Commissioner and Treasurer. If you have a interest in serving either portion, please attend the meeting to place your name on the ballot.
